Heritage trail

Proston was originally part of the historic grazing station Wigton one of Queensland's earliest squattages. Settlement of the Proston area followed the 1901 Wondai Land court Ballot, primarily by English and German migrants. If you are visiting Proston you can pick up a Heritage Trail brochure from the library and visitor information centre or download Heritage Trail map (186kb pdf).
